trxx-product-picCOMPANY OVERVIEW
Traxxec, Inc. wholly owns and operates Traxxec Ltd., a company incorporated in the UK specifically to capitalize on the expertise and intellectual property of its founders and promote the sales of Radio Frequency enabled products and systems, globally.

The company’s small, focused management team has considerable expertise in providing packaging solutions and developing innovative products in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, where the founders have more than 20 years experience.

Strong relationships have been developed in both the global pharmaceutical industry and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) component sectors over a period of many years. The company has demonstrated its potential with two successful pilots for major multi-national companies. It has developed, manufactured and fully commercialized (with sales in both Europe and US) its first product, a fully integrated RFID enabled pharmaceutical bottle, protected its Intellectual Property by patent and licensed its technology with a fifteen year patent exclusive license agreement to a global market leader.

The following quotation is taken from Pharmaceutical and Medical Packing News, April 2005: “the day will come when RFID tags are not applied like a label, but are integrated into the material of packaging…..” That day is here and now.

THE TECHNOLOGY
Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is an auto-identification technology that can store, write to and remotely retrieve data from devices called RFID tags or transponders that requires no line of sight.
An RFID tag is an object that can be applied to or incorporated into a product, animal, or person for the purpose of identification. Using radio waves some tags can be read from several meters away and do not require line of sight with the reader/writer.  Most RFID tags contain at least two parts. One is an integrated circuit for storing and processing information, modulating and demodulating a (RF) signal, and other specialized functions. The second is an antenna for receiving and transmitting the signal.

THE MARKET
Manufacturing and service industries worldwide are on the cusp of a RFID transformation where competitive advantage has been found by moving this technology forward. In the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry there has been much media comment and the technology is driven in particular by FDA and Walmart. Research firm ID TechEx’s report of June 12th 2008 confirms that the RFID market is on pace to reach its previously-predicted level of $5.3 billion in sales in 2008 and, as was reported in April 2008, yet more legislation has been introduced to require individual identification and pedigrees for prescription drugs in the US, and RFID technology is again highlighted as a potential solution.
